Fairytale Beads
The "Fairy Tale" group of Trollbeads has a wonderful sense of whimsy without seeming trite or saccharine. Recognizing and being able to strike the right note with a design takes a very talented artisan, as represented in this Trollbeads collection.
The "Mermaid" bead is perhaps the most poignant of the "Fairy Tale" Trollbeads. The "Mermaid" represents the most famous mermaid of recent centuries, that of the character in Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Little Mermaid". Andersen's portrayal, immortalized with a famous bronze sculpture in Copenhagen harbor, has arguably become the standard for fairytale-influenced mermaid design.
